FreeLLMMeta launches free AI pet journal app Waddle World in the Philippines
Meta's new 16‑bit pet‑care app, Waddle World, is a free AI‑driven daily journal disguised as a virtual pet, limited to adult users in the Philippines.
Meta has added a new app called Waddle World to its portfolio, described as a "tamagotchi‑style" pet game that functions as a daily journal.
The app’s store listings say it is a 16‑bit pet‑care experience where users talk to a virtual pet, which then creates doodles and engages in simple games like stacking groceries or word puzzles.
Waddle World is listed as free and is only available to adult users in the Philippines, according to its Apple and Play Store pages.
The launch was first spotted by social‑media consultant Matt Navarra, who also noted Meta’s simultaneous release of a fashion app, Style Sketch, limited to Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand.
Meta has not confirmed whether the apps will expand to other regions, and the company has not responded to inquiries about future availability.
What it means for you
The app shows Meta’s push into niche AI experiences that blend entertainment with personal journaling, targeting specific regional markets. For users of free AI tools, it adds another lightweight, no‑cost option, while developers of open‑source models may view it as competition for attention in the casual AI app space.
